This past weekend Designs by Essence had the opportunity to partake in the annual Gingerbread Marketplace! This was their 6th year and it was truly amazing!
We also had the pleasure of listening to some lovely Christmas Carols as patrons shopped.
Teri, the singer, was absolutely amazing! While she and I were chatting, the subject of my normal helper not wanting to come, came up. Well during one of her breaks from singing, she walked up with a stack full of business cards. I hate that I didn't get to get out into the arena and mingle, but I am very grateful to be able to pass on some businesses that were on site. Most of the items that were on sale were Christmas related, but I'm sure most of the vendors have year round products that you can select from.
Again, I hope you enjoyed the different vendors and good luck finding some lovely items.
If you've never gotten to experience a Mompreneur Event, you definitely want to mark your calendar for next year!
This was my first time attending and the vibes in the room were so amazing! Not only were the presenters amazing, but the attendees brought a lot to the table as well. I didn't get to collect cards from everyone in the building, but i will definitely share those that I did meet.
The Embrace Center is a wonderful venue to hold your next event. From what we could see, there are 2 rooms to choose from, both very spacious depending on your needs.
Designs by Essence had the opportunity to provide balloon columns and ceiling decor for a recent event hosted by Sweet Thangz. If you missed this event, you definitely missed something special! There was lots of good food and laughter. Check out some of the pictures and vendors below.
If you see something like, the vendors business cards are below.
Have a great week!!
This weekend we had the opportunity to set up a vendor table at the Tanner High School Car Show. The car show was a fundraiser put on to benefit the Tanner High Band, Football team, and Cheerleading Team. We got to mix and mingle with so many great vendors, I wanted to take a moment and share a few. If you're looking for a Scentsy Rep, Pink Zebra, Lilla Rose, Children's Clothes, Natural Spa Products... you'll find something great to try out from these vendors.

Have a great week!!
If you missed the above event last night hosted by HLA Consulting, you missed a good one!! The evening began with an ice breaker game, and of course I missed the instructions on how to play... so, I picked up the first quote that my hand came to on the table.
Turns out we were supposed to read the quotes and then select the one that we identified most with. After I heard the instructions, my quote was still very fitting. With my balloon business, I'm taking steps in life that I never imagined and meeting people from all walks of life. But back to the event.....
Minister Terri Little began the night speaking on the topic "Fear is a Liar!" One of her points was that about 85% of the things we fear NEVER come to pass. So try harder to overcome those fears and create growth this week!
The panel did a wonderful job answering questions, and it was a great event. Not to mention how the balloons set off the room. =)
Be sure to take a few moments and check out some of these Business Owners on Facebook.
Have a great week and see you again soon!!
We are 3 days into the second half of the year! How did the first half go for you? Have you sat down and mapped out some goals you want to accomplish over the next 6 months?
If you follow us on Facebook, then you know July is going to be a busy month for us. From weddings to fashion shows to a high school car show. We're taking the first week to celebrate our lead balloon artists birthday and prep for the rest of the month.
If you missed out on our Instagram posts these past few days, scroll down for a bit of what we've been up to.
This past weekend we had the opportunity to walk in the Huntsville Pride Parade alongside "We Are One". The balloon backpacks were a big hit and we can't wait to share them at the next event in October.
We hope you all have a Happy 4th and be safe!!
Over the past few months, we've had the opportunity to provide balloons for various grand openings and other events.
In the months coming, we look forward to participating in more events and hope to see you out and about.
Recently I received an email with an article about why you should hire your children to work for your small business. It was a really good read and put a little fire under my feet.
My daughter was thrilled about the balloon business, mainly for the money... I mean aren't all kids thrilled about having their own money. She was less thrilled about the part where she actually had to help do the work. Some events she ditched me and some she actually earned her share. Lol.
With all that being said, I was excited that she got to attend the Balloon Boss Mastermind class with me, because she got to hear real numbers and work with some other balloon professionals. It's not always easy working with your parents, but it was refreshing watching her work with the group and step up.
Thank you to Joette from Balloon Coach for allowing my daughter to participate, and a big thank you to all the sponsors who made the Balloon Boss Mastermind Tour a reality. To name a few, Qualatex, Betallic, Clik Clik, and Hi-Float. We are so liking forward to using the tips and tricks that we learned from this class.
Check out a few more pictures from class. And if you want to visit the article I referred to above, here's the link...
Hey!! Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was very busy, with Panoply on Friday, Redstone's Community Yard Sale on Saturday, and a Bridal Expo hosted by the White Lace Bridal Lounge on Sunday.
We had the opportunity to meet and network with so many great brides and people from the community.
Below are a few of the vendors that were on site. Feel free to connect with anyone that could be of assistance to you or someone you know.
Have a great week!
