Adopt A Grandparent

2020 was a pretty hard year for many people. From kids and virtual schooling, to many adults losing their jobs, to the older generation missing out on family interaction. Of course we can still video chat and send letters, but that isn't the same as the hugs and visits that they've missed out on these past few months due to Covid-19.

As part of our "Spread Love through Balloons" theme for 2021, Designs by Essence is proud to announce our participation in the "Adopt A Grandparent" National Campaign. The idea is to select local assisted living facilities and surprise the residents with a super cute Balloon Buddy. Community members and local businesses can sponsor 1 or multiple Balloon Buddies for $20/buddy. Your $20 sponsorship provides each resident a Balloon Buddy with a heartfelt note attached. Once all the residents in one facility have been sponsored, we will move to the next facility and work our way through having every resident sponsored there as well. As partnerships come in, we will update this page to let the community know how close we are to meeting our goals per facility.

*With Adopt-a-Grandparent, residents can not be hand picked. The goal is for everyone in the facility to receive a Balloon Buddy. However, if you'd like a specific resident to receive a more customized design, please submit a separate request below.
